Activists and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) took part in a rally in Paris on Saturday to mark the 5th anniversary of the uprising by the people of Syria against the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
The delegation of the Iranian Resistance expressed its solidarity with the Syrian people’s revolution and reiterated that for peace to be reestablished in Syria, the dictator Assad must go and the Iranian regime’s forces must be expelled from the country.
The rally and march, as well as speeches by Syrian opposition and French dignitaries, went on for several hours.
Mr. Behzad Naziri of the NCRI’s Foreign Affairs Committee addressed the rally, reiterating the support of the Iranian Resistance for the Syrian people’s democratic aspirations and its solidarity with the Syrian National Coalition.
A bouquet of flowers was presented on the stage on behalf of the PMOI to the oppressed people of Syria.
